Hertfordshire County Council's Admission Arrangements 2024/25

On 11th October 2022, County Council Cabinet proposed to retain Hertfordshire's existing admission arrangements, schemes of coordination and relevant areas for 2024/25 but, in line with decreased demand, agreed to consult on proposals to reduce the Published Admission Number at 5 community primary schools.

Cabinet also agreed proposals to increase the Published Admission Number at two community primary schools to cater for increased demand from local housing developments.

As required by the School Admission Code, Hertfordshire's coordinated schemes of admission for 2024/25 are available on www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/admissions2024
The schemes have not been altered, but the process timelines have been updated.

The County Council's admission arrangements will be determined by Cabinet on 20 February 2023.

2024/25 Admissions Consultation for Own Admission Authority Schools and Academies in Hertfordshire

The County Council is also coordinating the consultation process for any own admission authority school or academy in Hertfordshire that wishes us to do so. From 31 October 2022, the proposed admission arrangements for 2024/25 for own admission authority schools, will be available at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/admissions2024

The consultation period is for 6 weeks, between 31 October 2022 and 11 December 2022 and responses should be sent direct to the school or academy concerned.
